I was injured in a car accident over 20 years ago. It was a head-on collision and I suffered a severe whiplash. Doctors wanted to do back surgery but I refused. I’d been seeing another chiropractor for 8 years. He helped me a lot, but I believed I could get better and not live with daily pain.
I was referred to Dr. G by a co-worker…I rarely am in pain, I have a ton more energy and feel great! I had forgotten what it was like to feel more energy and feel good every day. The staff is awesome, too! Thanks, Dr. G for my new lease on life!
“What you cannot see may be harmful to your health”
I hope you and your family are in good health and are enjoying all of the good things life has to offer. I am writing to share with you a life event that recently happened to me. For years I have suffered with a chronic sinus condition which at times has been debilitating. None of the medications seem to bring any prolonged relief and I am somewhat adverse to be forever taking pills or using sprays.
Seeking a different approach I remembered reading an article stating that relief might be achieved through chiropractic adjustments and having just met a chiropractor through one of my networking groups I went for a consultation. At my first visit x-rays were taken for diagnosis and I watched an informative video tape so I knew what to expect before beginning my therapy. Anticipating relief for my sinus condition I was excited to go to my next appointment ~ boy was I in for a shock!
The x-rays revealed a more severe problem that I was totally unaware of. There was a deteriorating condition in my neck that if left unchecked would have a debilitating impact on my range of motion and flexibility as I got older. The good news is that we discovered it in time and that it has been possible through Chiropractic to halt the deterioration and reverse the condition almost back to normal. You can bet that I’ll be having regular check-ups in the future to make sure things stay on track and that other conditions won’t go undetected.
As frightening as finding out about this condition was, I am relieved that it was discovered and that I could still choose to do something about it. Undiscovered, the condition would have become irreversible and resulted in severe physical limitations and discomfort later on in life.
My small decision to seek relief from a professional for my sinuses helped me avoid a larger potential long term disaster.
I would like to share my personal experience on how my lifestyle has been affected through Chiropractic Care.
I started having migraines in my early 20's. I went to a several different chiropractors over the years, and found minimum relief. I eventually went to a neurologist, who scheduled an MRI on my head and neck. The MRI showed that I had a few herniated disks in my neck. At this time, I was still having any where from 10-20 migraines monthly.
Several years later, a co-worker suggested that I give Dr. Galambos a try. During my consultation, Dr. G recommended that I get another MRI on my head and neck, in order to check the progression of the herniated disks. After reading the tests results, she wrote up a treatment plan involving special adjustments, neck traction to relieve some pressure on the nerves, and exercises to strengthen my neck and spine. I am happy to say that I am now 99% migraine free.
In fact, at 48 years old, I am feeling SO much better under Dr. G.'s care, that I am about to run my 4th half marathon.
Thank you, Dr. G., for keeping me upright and moving, you have truly enriched my life!
I was in so much pain and didn’t know what it was. I couldn’t work out anymore and was walking with pain. My friend recommended Dr. G. to me and after just one visit, I was 80% better. After 1 week, I was 100% better.
I’ve been able to keep up my distance events such as Ironman triathlons, marathons and long distance swimming…I got a really good sense that everyone cared. [I am] living a happier and more fulfilled life.
I have found that my chiropractic experience, compared to the medical experience, has been simply wonderful. I walk out…feeling great, feeling alive!
Dr.Galambos has treated me with the utmost care, and concern, with my initial fear of Chiropractors. She is compassionate with my needs, fun, always smiling, easy to talk to and just makes me feel good. The staff here is outstanding, caring, and friendly, makes you feel like you are their only concern.
My ability to get through the day, without pain, has no comparison with what it was previously. I can actually get through the day “pain free”. I get out of bed without the aches and pains. I feel as if I am walking more upright and straight. I can take longer walks without feeling my lower back hurting. I have not slept so restful in a very long time. I thought it was just me, but after my first adjustment, I found I had slept much better, more restful. This in turn helped me get through my day at work. Being more aware and feeling great.
All I can say to those who are visiting for the very first time, or not the first time, you could not be at [a] more caring and concerning facility than here…when I finally was in so much discomfort, and so tired of taking medications that really did not work, I had to open my mind and just try it. So just relax, go for it, and let the wonderful Doctor take your pain away and let you feel alive and great again!
I just wanted to drop a line of gratitude for the expert care and attention I received a few weeks ago from your office.
I severely pulled my back during a sailing excursion and 2 days later I could barely walk. On the third day, on recommendation from a prior patient of yours, I made a call and got an immediate appointment. I limped into your office and got a thorough exam. It was so thorough, in fact, that it was determined I might have a fracture from a previous injury.
I shudder to think what may have happened if the X-ray results had been improperly diagnosed. The X-rays were sent out and did indicate a prior fracture, but long enough ago that my back was healed enough for chiropractic adjustment.
After a few days of adjustment…I could walk and stand up straight. I’m now writing this letter after having jogged a few miles for the first time since the accident. I feel back “in the saddle” again.
Your work was nothing short of expert and your staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. And the results speak for themselves.
I had an 8 mm herniated [lumbar] disc due to a fall that happened 2004. I was given a medication for chronic pain for the rest of my life. I had a 20% disability. I had severe cramps. I wasn’t able to bend, twist, or sit and getting up normal. I was told by a back surgeon that the disc will never go back to normal. I would need back surgery!
Ever since I had Spinal Decompression, I’m able to bend, twist, walk normal. No more cramps, and able to stay off the medication. I didn’t miss work!! No pain. The staff and Dr. Galambos have given me a new life again…Thanks again Dr. G. and staff!!
What's to say other than "Dr. G. changed my life"!
Over my years of life's experiences I have had the misfortune of breaking just about every bone in my body. My decision to seek out a Chiropractor came from wanting to take over care of my own body and not relying solely on the many doctor's advice. Also, tears of prescription pain killers (as much as 3000 mg/day) were building up a depression from the pain, lack of any energy at all, and a tolerance build-up for the medications.
I finally said "enough is enough" and sought out referrals for a Chiropractor to help me (I hadn't seen one for nearly 50 years!). Dr. G. came from recommendations from patients at my wife's workplace that have also seen Dr. G., with high remarks for her treatments and results.
Coming to Dr. G., I had previous surgeries for (1) disc/buldge/cyst/bone spur in lower back, (2) crushed vertebrae in upper back, (3) fractured vertebrae in neck, all of which caused constant pain. Physical therapy had helped, but didn't last long after the sessions were over. The pain was so severe at times it affected me not being able to walk more than a block at a time, stand or sit for more than 15/20 minutes at a time, any type of exercise was non-existent, and depression took over for a long period of time.
Dr. G. was fantastic! I asked for a consultation only appointment to discuss my problems, ask about treatment, and see if personalities were a fit. At the end of our meeting, I knew she was sincere and the one to help me when she gently took hold of my arm, looked me straight in the eyes and said "I honestly feel I can help you." And it has been a series of successfull adjustments and elimination of the pain. And this was from the first treatment! After approximately 3 months, I am now able to live my life again. I have gone from 4 prescription pain killers a day to 1 or 2 a month. I can actually walk and stand for long periods of time, I have started riding my bike again, my depression has practically vanished along with the pain, and now have a renewed energy that has been gone a very long time. My wife says I now stand taller and straighter, the pain is gone from my face, and my attitude has changed to being more positive. I feel exited about again being able to do things I had to stop because of the pain.
With a maintenance schedule of adjustments from 3 per week down to 1 or 2 a month, Dr. G. has given me a "new lease on life". Unless you have gone through a long period of pain (in my case over 8 years) you can't realize what a god-send a Chiropractor has been. I am so happy to have made the decision to choose Dr. G. as my Chiropractor and feel what she has done for me. She honestly cares about her patient's well-being and long term health, and is committed to halping you achieve it. Along with Dr. G., her staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. You are in and out on time, and they work with you with a flexible schedule.
My only regret is waiting so long before seeking help from a Chiropractor. In the past this kind of treatment was sort of dismissed by surgeons and specialists, fortunately my GP is open-minded about optional treatments being available if they will help his patients. I went too many years hearing the negatives, fortunately for me I found Dr. G. !
Best thing ever is that I was finally able to run my first marathon, my second, my third, and my fourth—all in one year. While I do not recommend this, I was very confident that I finished my 2011 race year strong and even more confident in my abilities. No doubt that Dr. Galambos helped me become the “fittest” I’ve ever been with her wonderful care and information she shares.
A lot of my [commitment to care] has to do with being surrounded by people who inspired me to seek the best health – reaching a certain age should not slow you down. I aim to keep up with them!
The atmosphere [of Dr. G’s office] has always been friendly and warm. Even other patients in the waiting area are more relaxed and pleasant. Other offices I’ve been to have such client-based feel which can be [a] little uncomfortable. They always acknowledge you when you walk in the door with a greeting and friendly smile—as a patient, you just don’t dread coming in when you feel welcome and appreciated. I am able to enjoy my regular activities again. The information given to me by Dr. Galambos regarding my concerns have helped me make better decisions on how I should handle the activities I enjoy.
